These are trying times, to be sure. Please reach out to your students’ teachers, counselors, and administrators whenever questions or concerns arise. We are here for you!Below please find some updates for your reference:
All students:I want everyone to know we are not giving finals this year. Students should be focusing on distance learning.Students need to complete their distance learning assignments in order to receive credit for the courses they are in this year.With guidance from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, we are required to provide students with feedback on their distance learning activities, with an overall assessment of earning C=Credit OR NC=No Credit for their work.On page two you will find rubrics to help students and families understand what C = Credit or NC = No Credit is and how these will average out during this distance learning period. Please reach out with any questions, and stay well.Seniors:To help close out the seniors’ grades and prepare for graduation, the last week of May will be used to collect any 3rd quarter updated grades and to determine whether the student will receive Credit or No Credit for their courses. If students are receiving No Credit, they will NOT RECEIVE A DIPLOMA. Instead, they will only receive a Certificate of Attendance. Notification will be sent out if a student does not earn a diploma, that they either received a passing grade with No Credit or earned a failing grade.
