The first Website launched in 1989 to Share knowledge globally about Sago trade industry in India Our Parent organization, "SABU TRADERS" established in 1984 with very limited resources. In May 1993, the company named "SABU TRADE PRIVATE LIMITED" (original Name "Sabu Export Salem Private Limited" changed to Sabu Trade Private Limited in the year 2006) was established to entertain primarily to Export Sago (directly from Salem) in bulk quantity to International clients and buyers. In the year 2007, the “SABU MILL” was established at Panamaruthupatty Village of Salem District and started manufacturing without any additives of top quality, Sabudana (Tapioca Sago) and Sabu Papad (commonly known as Appalam). In the year 2010-11, started to procure best quality High Fat Desiccated Coconut Powder (Khopra bura) and repacking it in consumer packs of One Kg., 500g and loose 25 kg Net. Since the Turmeric of Salem (Tamilnadu) is famous worldwide for its super fragrance, colour and having highest percentage of curcumin in it, the Company added the commodity 'TURMERIC' in the year 2012-13 in its portfolio. In 2014-15, the Company entered in Little Millet (in Hindi Known as Bhagar or Mordhan) business, with a new setup of world-class plant to de-husk and clean Millets of all varieties. The company earned so many feathers in its Cap, a few amongst them are: First to introduce Sabudana (Tapioca Sago) in consumer packs under "CHAKRA" "SACHAMOTI" brands in Indian Market (1984) First to launch the website www.sabuindia.com for worldwide knowledge sharing about Sabudana (Tapioca Sago), Tapioca Starch, Appalam allied products.(1989) First to be accredited with India's Highest quality certificate for Agro Products AGMARK for TAPIOCA SAGO.(1993) First to Export Indian Tapioca sago (Sabudana) and Appalam (Sabu-Papad) outside India in Bulk quantity directly from the manufacturing center.(1993) First to conduct recipe contests and publish them in series to popularise Sabudana (Tapioca sago) used by common man.(1994) First to be accredited with ISO 9001:2008 certificate in Tapioca Sago (Sabudana) and Appalam (Sabu-Papad) manufacturing and trading.(2008), and Presently, accredited Internationally for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2018, HACCP and GMP for our trading and manufacturing process.
