WelcomeNMR Operations during COVID restrictionsWe have revised operating procedures in place for use of the NMR facilities at this time.We also have new protocols for sample submissions to the NMR Service.Information on Scientific InductionSessions and Instrument Training for new researchers (DPhil and Post Doc).Note that some access to the basement NMR laboratory is possible but remains restricted due to occupancy limits. Request for access is on a case-by-case basis and is limited to 5pm-8pm Mon-Fri and 8am-8pm Sat at this time. You must also book a place in the basement NMR laboratory if you wish to use an instrument. Contact NMR staff if you require use of a basement instrument, explaining your need.Please request experimentsthrough Sample Submission as much as possible at this time.The NMR facility housed in the Chemistry Research Laboratory is one of the largest available to research chemists in the UK. It houses thirteen solution-state and two solid-state FT NMR instruments with proton operating frequencies rangingup to700 MHz, which are capable of running most experiments of interest to the research chemist. The facility supportsthe fullrange of chemical sciences research across the department and university including synthetic organic and inorganic chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, chemical biology, enzymology, metabolomics, catalysis and materials science.They are managed by Prof Tim Claridge (Organic/ChemBiol) and Dr Nick Rees (Inorganic) and are operated and maintained by five members of staff in total.2020Introductory lecture: The lecture slides will be foundhere(Oxford only).20/4/20: We have a new handouton Diffusion NMR and DOSY: Available from our Resources-NMR Handouts page
