It began with weight calculators to help people understand weight issues, and grew gradually into popularity.I m an physician in active practice, and everything I do must have a doctors code of ethics, which means things that are proven,    safe and effective. Three important words. Two out of three is not good enough. On this website, I have a lot of posts on the various diet fads and popular schemes for losing weight. We always try to be informative and fun and helpful. Okay, Doc. That s enough about you. Can we talk about me now.About MooseI have something very special to give away free. It is Moose software and helps people to get motivated in a lot of problem areas, including weight loss. Indeed the Talking Moose Software is not a diet, nor a supplement, nor an exercise program. It is simply a very powerful tool for motivation. What? What are you giving away free?The Talking Moose SoftwareI used to have a mailing list with a Subscribe button, but I ve removed it. It s purpose was to let people get onto the waiting list for the Talking Moose software. But the list is now getting quite full, so I ve taken that option away. However, joining the Waiting for Moose group on Facebook is still available. The Doc programmed me, with hypnotherapy principles, power-of-suggestion, and jokes. I can t afford a hypnotherapy session or a weight loss coach. The Moose is free. I could use some weight loss motivation. Yes! The Moose s positive, power-of-suggestion, motivates you in exercise, healthy eating, eating less, etc.There is strong scientific basis for the health benefits of being in a good mood, of feeling happiness and having laughter in your life, and how important these are to improving your situation.Plus, these things matter for losing weight, and stopping anxiety. What else does the Moose do? People asked me to help with their Anxiety. So the Doc gave me lots of ways to interject some positivity and distractions instead. Mindfulness, here and now refocussing, little meditation breaks, and so on. These are things where a little help remembering to do them, is a real benefit.Help with HappinessTo become happier in real life, isn t as easy as snapping your fingers. It takes a process of steps over time, with optimism and patience. The Moose provides some help along the way. Think about how great it would be, to receive little extra jolts of feeling good, throughout the day.One of things that helps with weight loss, is when the Moose gives you it s little jolts of happy feelings, which provide a dopamine reward to your brain, it lessens the craving for calories. My sense of humor is way better than Doc s. You ll be smiling and sharing it with others. Can you show me more about the software? OK. I made this page, with some examples of what the User Interface options look like.The Moose, is free software. The Moose was famous long ago for joke-telling, and now has returned to become much much more. Humor is nice, and becoming funnier and happier is even nicer. But the Moose is blossoming into a unique mechanism for delivering motivation and self improvement.Allowing the Moose to persuade and motivate you, in areas like weight loss and getting enough sleep and if you need positivity reminders to help with anxiety, the Moose may be useful in that way too.For weight loss, you still need to eat a little less, exercise a little more, choose good foods, and so on. The Moose will remind you about all this too.
