Yorktown Community Schools is excited to welcome Jacob Stephenson as their new high school head wrestling coach. Jacob is a 2015 graduate of Yorktown High School, where he was a two-time semi-state qualifier, two-time team captain, three year varsity letter winner and member of two IHSAA State Runner-Up teams. He also was a member of Any Athletes interested in participating in Fall Sports at YHS must get a green card from the athletic office before their first official day of practice. For those athletes that have been attending workouts, we have your IHSAA Physical and IHSAA Health History Questionnaire. You will need to make sure that your parent/guardian has completed Parents and Athletes, We will begin transitioning to Phase 2 of our Return to Sports Re-Entry, Monday, July 20th. Please review the following: YCS Phase 2 Return to Sports Re-Entry as there are a few modifications from the original plan. Make sure you self screen your athlete prior to sending each day.  If your athlete exhibits Parents Athletes, As we reach the half-way point of Phase 1 of our Return to Sports Re-Entry Play Protocol, I want to thank you for your diligence on self-screening before coming to campus, getting paperwork turned in, bringing water each day, wearing a mask to and from campus and social distancing. Parents, please remember, Parents and Athletes, We are excited to begin phasing back our FALL sports next week. Please remember that this will be for students interested in participating in FALL sports only: Girls Golf, Boys Tennis, Boys/Girls Cross Country, Boys/Girls Soccer, Football, Volleyball, Cheerleading or Dance Team. We will begin with conditioning open to any potential FALL athlete High School Parents and Athletes: Recognizing the seriousness of this unprecedented time that we find ourselves living, the Yorktown High School Athletic Department in conjunction with school administration, IHSAA and local officials has developed a plan that would allow our student-athletes to safely return to activity at Yorktown High School starting on July 6th.
