Fiona will coordinate support services for individuals and their families dealing with the effects of a stroke.From South Shields near Newcastle, as a school leaver, nursing was her first passion, remembering with warmth, her first posting on a psychogeriatric ward that took five locked doors to access the ward.Fiona is married with two sons. Both her and her husband moved to Newbury from Newcastle in 1988 when she was promoted to manager of Mothercare.Fiona brings her varied experience in nursing and management to the role.Over the years Fiona has gained a great deal of satisfaction from giving support to people who are living with life changing illnesses such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Dementia and people adapting to life after a stroke.We welcome Fiona and wish her all the best.
