it s a big weekend halloween is here, as well as the coming election on tuesday and to be honest, i m more than a bit anxious. and you know that i don t often share my politics here, but this year i feel that it s important to be involved and definitely to vote. to me this election is not an issue of Democrats versus Republicans, it s about what s right and wrong, so i have voted early for biden and kamala because i believe they have the people s best interest in their hearts. our current administration has let us down in my eyes with a never-ending, leaderless pandemic, encouraging hatefulness and racism, and the denial of climate change including dismantling major climate policies and rolling back of many more rules governing clean air, water, wildlife, and toxic chemicals. i truly worry about our future and the future of children, my nieces, for all of us if we don t change who s in government right now. sometimes we might feel pressured to vote the way our families or our partners and friends vote, but the beauty of voting is that it is all yours, and it is completely private. so if you re listening to your heart right now, i hope you ll follow it and not vote the way someone else might expect you to. no one has to know how you vote that s your right. but please vote like our lives and our mother earth depend on it, because they do. thanks for letting me get that off my chest, and have a happy halloween weekend.xo, victoriamaven collective can style like nobody s business and is also one of my favorite online vintage shops. the way she creates little vignettes of her merchandise makes me want to buy it all! she s got a great eye, and this little daybed situation is exactly what i mean.i fell in love with this moody little living room on the design files. i m not always one for draperies but in this case, they just create such a warm and inviting ambiance in this beautifully decorated Melbourne home. the rolling cart is pretty sweet, too.i love the work of stylist and art director @hansblomquist and his latest work for anthropologie is just beautiful. not to mention this photoshoot location just look at those floor to ceiling windows and view! spectacular.the line new york is such a beautiful concept shop because instead of looking like a traditional shopping experience, it looks just like a dreamy apartment that one might live in. i love this loft look and most especially that lovely clawfoot bathtub right there in the bedroom!love the details and styling of this little vignette from an Antwerp interior. the art collection is great, and the macrame lampshade is just so cool!  i m thinking it might not even be that hard to DIY.this is a fun and funky lounge chair it s the oversized bond chair from maiden home featured in a recent feature on domino, so have a look for more from their stunning furniture collection.nate berkus and jeremiah brent s home is one of my favorites, and most especially their gorgeous living room. the arch entryway really makes an impact, but it s all pulled together so beautifully! if you like what you see, check out camille style s gorgeous home tour with them.whatcha reading these days? this pretty nook reminds me of all the great books on my reading list it s really what s getting me through the pandemic. i like keeping track of what i m going to read next and share what i ve already read on goodreads and highly recommend using it. i just finished Heart Spring Mountain by Robin MacArthur and i loved it!
