For over 40 years we have been documenting the railways of Britain and overseas. An increasing number of individuals and commercial concerns are also making information and photographs available. The long reign of the "HST 125s" on the Cotswold line came to the end in April 2019 and the last one went out from Paddington on Sunday 18th May. But all is not yet lost as Cross Country continue to operate HSTs on the Birmingam to Bristol route and there is also the possible use of a shortened HST on the seaside trains at least between Bristol and Worcester. The first known such working occured on 4th August 2019 when Nos.43086 and 43181 worked train code No.2E42, the 14.39 to Worcester. Steve Widdowson took this lovely photograph against the backcloth of the historic Worcester Cathedral (and not so nice new bridge). Following the receipt of more information the photographs of John Rumsey have been updated. The photograph on the left sets the scene at Worcester on 1st April 1965 before trees rendered this view unobtainable.
