WednesdayMar312021 Important Information on AprilTrial Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 9:22PM Dear ExhibitorPlease take note of the following important information regarding the agility trial this weekend in Boulder City:This trial will be in FIELD 1, not our normal agility field.Setup will begin at 3:00pm Thursday. If you arrive by 3:30pm, and help until setup is done, you may set up on Thursday. All others must set up Friday morning.The weather will be in the high 80s to low 90s, plan accordingly. A hose will be available by the restrooms.Pet Food Drive on Friday and Saturday only.Please make sure to review the running order listed in the CONFIRMATION LETTER AT THE LINK BELOW. The American Kennel Club has released updated guidlines for agility tirals effective Feb 1, 2021. Link to full documant can be found at the end of this article.

Here is a list of updates made:

Effective March 1, 2021, if a VMO or Agility Field Representative is measuring dogs at a trial, all present and entered dogs without a valid measurement must be measured. Until further notice, Judges of Record who are not VMOs will still not measure dogs.Masks must be worn as by required state/local guidelines. Clubs may require masks for all exhibitors and all trial help, even if not required by state/local guidelines. Judges must wear masks as required by state/local guidelines, the club or the facility. It is recommended that clubs also review CDC Guidelines for updates and best practices before each event and apply those recommendations. This change applies to Judges, ring crew andcompetitors alike.Exhibitors may place leashes in their pockets when running the course or wear on themselves (i.e., clip like a belt around the waist) through December 31, 2021. Note: if the dog grabs the leash while running this will be scored as an E.The two-judge requirement to title in the Novice through Excellent level agility classes was suspended as of July 1, 2020 through December 30, 2020. It is being extended through December 31, 2021.
Effective Jan 1, 2021, events may close not less than seven (7) days prior to the trial. This is a change from fourteen (14) days prior to the trial. This is a permemn change.

All attendees of GACGLV and LVDICE events held in Boulder City MUST complete the current release of liability. The current release includes COVID-19 language as required by Boulder City Parks.

Gamblers Agility Club of Greater Las Vegas is pleased to announce that they will be offering their first Tracking Dog Urban Test on February 28, 2021 on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Entry information can be found here.

What is Tracking?Tracking is a non-competitivedog sport that demonstrates a dogs natural ability to recognize and follow scent. Tracking is the foundation of canine search and rescue work, but its also an enjoyable sport to companion dogs and their human partners as well. There are several organizations that hold Tracking competitions. GACGLV has been sanctioned by the American Kennel Club to hold tracking events.

What is Tracking Dog Urban?TDU tests are designed to gauge the dogs ability to follow a track laid by a person under a variety of scenting conditions in an urban environment and to find the articles dropped by that person.
