We look forward to providing you unique opportunities to explore the Unitarian-Universalist values of inclusion, social justice, and community-building.​The Red Herring Vegetarian Restaurant has been serving updeliciousvegan/vegetarian food to the Urbana-Champaign community for over thirty years. We've often struggled to keep it afloat and are now working on a new sustainable model that keeps us in tune with our activist roots! We are seeking donations to make capital improvements and improve our operations! Every week Channing-Murray members and friends work to serve the most vulnerable in our community during this global crisis via our food delivery program- the bucket brigade. If you live in Champaign-Urbana, and are having difficulty securing food;bucket brigadebrings 3 bags of groceries, and 3 local, ready-mademeals from the Red Herring-straight to your doorstep. This is our call to action;we live out our mission by meeting the basic needs of our neighbors.Due to COVID-19, we have canceled our regular event programming. We are takingguidance from our local Public Health Department and the Unitarian Universalist Association and have closedour doors to the public until we can safely meet again. Until then, there are safe ways to volunteer in the community.
