I am married with 2 children - a 16 yr old step-daughter and a 3 yr old son. I was blessed to have my first child (my son) at the age of 43. I have always wanted to have children but wasn't sure I would get to experience it in this lifetime. I am grateful to have him in my life and to be a stay at home Mom.
My passion has been keeping myself healthy ever since my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer over 15 years ago. I was completely shocked and confused when I was diagnosed with the same disease while pregnant in my 3rd trimester. I was not feeling well at that time but it was disguised as common pregnancy symptoms.
Through my journey I learned how to battle fear and ultimately chose a healing path that was right for me (non-conventional healing). Most importantly I learned how crucial it is for me to be true to myself. I vowed years ago after my first marriage ended that I would never compromise myself again. This health challenge taught me this lesson in a whole new way.
It is now 3 yrs later and I am doing well and am inspired to write about my journey and discoveries in hopes that it will empower someone else.
