The mission of First Ascent Biomedical is develop personalized cancer treatment plans for individuals based on the biology of their tumor and the response to multi-drug combinations. By using science, math and technology we can improve outcomes, provide treatment alternatives and better predict (avoid) toxicity. We look at your individual DNA and RNA, analyze it for mutations, possible analyze your tumor cells, then use data analytics to pick the compounds most effective on treating your cancer. The entire process takes less than 6 weeks.

First Ascents proprietary mathematical model identifies multiple pathways that need to be disrupted. It then designs a multi drug testing protocol, against an individuals cancer cells to find the most effective combinations

By testing the drugs on a Quail embryo we can look at the liver and kidneys for early signs of Toxicity

Once the drug combinations are proven effective killing the cancer cells Toxicity need to be validated

We carefully analyze drug interactions and overlap

The fibroblast are the patients healthy cells. The multi-drug combinations are tested against normal cells for toxicity of the drug combinations to ensure proper levels

The final step is taking a small skin punch from the patient and testing the dug combinations against healthy cells

Its about the biology. First we look at the DNA and RNA of a patients tumor. We are specifically looking for mutations. We take that DNA/RNA, analyze it through our data analytics engine and identify known drugs or compounds that will be most effective.

We take the DNA/RNA and compound match data and use First Ascents complex computational mathematical model to design a multi-drug combination testing protocol. The mathematical models specifically is looking for multiple pathways the tumor has established to live, then applies drugs to disrupt (break) those pathways.

First Ascent combines the biology, math and finally the science behind the most effective ways to treat cancer. We design a testing protocol that test against the tumor cells, with different dosages and concentrations to identify the appropriate combinations.
