Fourth S501 In Process At Tankoa Yachts Here is a look at the fourth S501 by Tankoa Yachts that is presently under construction. The yacht known as Project Elettra takes its design from the drawing boards of Francesco Paszkowski. She is a sister to previous members of the S501 family being the latest of that class. The last yacht of this class was the very distinctive black S501 -hull three- called Olokun which launched in September with anticipated delivery in November. Below is the first hull, Vertige ... 70-meter Project 795 At Nobiskrug Further new build activity has been seen by custom German builder Nobiskrug. The 70-meter Project 795 has been seen as the Next Nobiskrug under tow enroute to the outfitting facilities at Nobiskrug. This vessel has been under construction since the keel was laid in 2019. Construction is expected to continue until it is completed in 2021. After the yard s last delivery, the 80-meter Artefact , this 70-meter build is more down a normal design path... Bering 145 Expedition Flagship Update The future flagship of the Bering Yachts lineup is presently under construction and will likely be completed in the latter part of 2021. The yacht is a massive 44-meters (large for Bering Yachts) and being built in Turkey. Construction is moving apace and the nearly completed hull was recently brought outside of the shed to be turned into its upright position. The design of the yacht is by Bering themselves from the Naval Architecture to the exterior design... Nordhavn s Third N80 In Build Back in January 2020, Trawler and pocket explorer specialist Nordhavn updated the industry on the third N80 that has been under construction for its owner. The first photo below is a look at the first N80 but this feature is about the third hull in this line and emphasis on why this one is so different from the others. The difference mainly is showcased on the interior where Nordhavn teamed-up with Vripack -a design company with vast expertise designing of explorer type yachts-. This collaboration resulted in a European oriented type of interior; different from the typical American-styling. The buyers of Nordhavn 80, hull #3, liked what they saw and opted to go with a Vripack-designed interior... Oceanic 140 Explorer By Canados Still Under Construction The story behind the Oceanic 140 by Canados is an interesting one. The yacht has spent more time under construction than most yachts would. The project began back in 2014 and it is 2020 and still the vessel has not hit the water. A major part of this delay had to do with the project stalling as a result of the yard changing hands. Work did resume on the yacht but there was no owner at the time. It appears that the fresh delays are now being attributed to new engines, variants of the CAT C32s that needed to be fitted. In our last update we suggested based on information available at the time the remainder of the superstructure would have been fitted to the vessel towards the end of 2020... Horizon Yachts FD90 Hull 14 Launched The fourteenth hull in the Horizon Yachts FD90 line has been launched and undergoing sea trials in preparation for delivery to her American owner. This FD90 should be able to attain a 17-knot top end thanks to her two CAT power 1,136 horse power engines. The owner is a repeat client appearing to step-up from the E-Series to the FD. Various internal modifications were made on this vessel to accommodate the owners pets to keep them as comfortable as possible while onboard... Fourth 32XP Seven Diamonds Launched By Numarine Turkish yard Numarine launched the latest 32XP in their line called Seven Diamonds . The yacht is hull four in this series and has perhaps the most distinctive of the lot with its vibrant aquamarine hull color. The yacht is expected to be delivered to an American owner by the end of this month. The design is the staple Numarine designer Can Yalman. The interior though is by Hot Lab marking the first time collaboration with this designer. The fancy explorer yacht has a a cabin layout affording up to twelve guests overnight lodging. The layout places the owner on the upper deck while the VIP is on the main deck and four other cabins are on the lower deck... Burger Boat Introduces Burger 63 Sportfisher Burger Boat is back in the news with their latest introduction, a sportfishing yacht. The Burger 63 Sportfisher is said to be designed specifically for watersports and sportfishing with lines from the in-house team at the yard. The hull is a patented slide design from Vripack. The yacht will be built with marine-grade aluminium and is envisioned to peak at 35-knots using triple Volvo Penta D13-IPS1350s. The range should be around 600 nautical miles at cruising speed (30-knots) and more at further economical speeds... 48-meter Crocus Launched By Admiral The latest build from Admiral has been launched into the water and she is a 48-meter yacht called Crocus . She is finished with a stunning ice-blue hull and accents with a white superstructure. The design on the exterior is inhouse by Admiral. Her LOA is 48-meters with a beam of 8.8-meters and a 2.1-meter draft, all very comfortable dimensions to permit her access to most marinas and shallow ground cruising... CLB88 Motor Yacht From CL Yachts If you follow YF, you are likely becoming familiar with the name CL Yachts. It may be a new name to some readers, but its one of the oldest names in yachting. CL Yachts is the same company that previously branded their yachts as Cheoy Lee. Cheoy Lee Shipyards is actually the commercial side of the business which manufactures a myriad of vessels like tugs, pilot launches, ferries, crew boats etc. Cheoy Lee Yachts recently began branding themselves as CL Yachts to differentiate their yacht division business away from their commercial exploits. In keeping with this new freshening, the Bravo line has been updated with the introduction of the CLB88 (CL Yachts Bravo 88) and earned itself a few accolades along the way... Columbus 40 Crossover Explorer A new design has surfaced coming from Columbus Yachts showcasing what they call the Columbus 40 Crossover Explorer. The designers are incorporating a trend that is now becoming familiar and regularly used -folding bulwarks on the aft main deck area to make more space-. This mechanism is on display here which is envisioned to be utilized by guests mainly while at anchor or certain ports/marinas. That aft deck has a plunge pool and teaked real estate for sun loungers and two stairs aft lead you down to the swim platform where a transformer is hidden in the platform to allow easy access to the water or even the dock. The aft main deck though can carry a tender up to 8-meters... 37-meter Millesime Launches At Couach Yachts French builder Couach Yachts has been quiet in recent times but they broke that silence with the launch of the 37-meter build called Millesime . The new vessel is part of the yard s 3700 series and represents the seventh hull in that line although being customized. A few of the custom features onboard include a bar and a jacuzzi. Onboard you will find just under 200 GT (197) of internal volume for guests and owner to enjoy... First Asteria 126 Ready For Owner The first unit in the Asteria 126 model is just about ready for handing over to the owner. The Asteria line of yachts are built by the Heysea shipyard which launched the Asteria 116 earlier this year and now the 126 model is ready to be delivered. The yacht is designed by the yard themselves and this one has an interior by Oceanus Design... Stardust The First LE206 By Amels/Damen Yachting Amels/Damen Yachting has delivered the first LE206 yacht called Stardust . If the form-factor looks familiar then it is because this yard built a handful of LE199 (think Event , Madame Kate etc) that was the genesis for the slightly longer LE206. The finished vessel Stardust is actually 204.9-feet long and has been seen in Norway during her maiden voyage. The Tim Heywood designed yacht was launched earlier this year... Rebeca First Benetti Oasis 40 Delivered To Owners Benetti has delivered the first unit in their new Oasis 40 line. The yacht was launched back in July and finally has been delivered to the customer and named Rebeca . The design is something quite different than what we normally see from this Italian builder. The design is in-fact penned by RWD in collaboration with Benetti... Crowned Eagle First FD92 To Launch Horizon Yachts has now officially expanded the FD Line with the launching of the first unit in the FD92 model. The yacht is called Crowned Eagle and has already been engaged in sea trials in preparation for delivery to her new owner by October. The photos below show her going through the paces during sea trial operations. The yacht is expected to ship soon from Taiwan to the United States where it will be commissioned and delivered to the customer. The FD92 was birthed mainly because the owner wanted an FD87 but with an enclosed skylounge/bridge area but still having a flybridge with secondary helm station. This necessitated the extra length of the hull... 50-meter Olokun Splashes At Tankoa Italian yard Tankoa Yachts launched their newest yacht recently. She is the 50-meter superyacht called Olokun . The new yacht is in the water already and going through the usual processes before delivery to her owner. Sea trials have actively started and the yacht is expected to be handed over to her owner by November... 78 Long Island Power Cat Launched By JFA Yachts French builder JFA Yachts has been quiet recently but they ended that spell with the launching of their latest yacht. The Long Island 78 power Cat is their latest launch and it is completed with flag blue hulls and prominent white boot stripes. The design is by Marc Lombard with a Franck Darnet interior. The hulls were manufactured in aluminium while the superstructure is in composite materials...
