Guides for EMS, Fire, and Law Enforcement field personnelfor responding safely during a pandemic. The EMS report cards for VF witnessed cardiac arrest survival are in; and the results for most communities in the United States are dismal. Many large U.S. cities average less than 10%. Yet, there is hope. Seattle and King County, Washington report over 60% survival; among the highest in the world. Why is this? What can your community do to improve? The goal of the Resuscitation Academy Foundation, a Non-Profit organization, is to improve survival from sudden cardiac arrest. Our faculty are resuscitation experts from Seattle Medic One, King County EMS, and leading EMS agencies around the globe. Our events, programs, and tools give communities the knowledge and power to save more lives from cardiac arrest. The Resuscitation Academy is rooted in public health, academic medicine, and emergency medical services – thus our courses, webinars, and educational materials are offered at no cost and are based in science and decades of experience.Additionally, to increase the impact of our mission, we partner with the American Heart Association and Laerdal Medical on programs which provide hands-on expertise to improve survival.
