Turning Research into Action for a Safer World

The Center for Citizen Peacebuilding conducts research, advances education and organizes action to improve and expand citizen peacebuilding in the United States and around the world.

The center hosts lectures and conferences involving prominent citizen peacebuilders, including Nobel Peace Prize Laureates; trains local and international peacebuilding practitioners, including gang intervention workers; and facilitates peacebuilding efforts in conflict zones here and abroad.Click hereto view the stories of a new generation of peacebuilders we've helped launch.

“Building Sustainable Peace Movements in a Divided World" 20th Anniversary Symposium

In celebration of our 20th anniversary building a safer world, the Center organized a two-day symposium to discuss lessons learned from long-term engagement in several case studies to inform future best practices. Click here for details

Scholarship Opportunity

The Center is pleased to award research scholarships twice a year to UC Irvine undergraduates interested in conducting creative research in conflict and conflict resolution initiatives regarding racial, ethnic, and political divisions, cultural divides, and the environmental crisis and climate change. Awards range from $500-$1,000.
