Coronavirus (COVID-19) ReportTHE MILITARY AVIATION MUSEUM IS OPEN9AM 5PM DAILYUPDATED: JULY 1, 2020 Admissions to the Museum are first-come-first-served.All Visitors are required to wear a mask while visiting*.Guests are asked to practice social distancing during their visit. While most of our great aircraft and exhibits will be available for view, there are a few continued disruptions during Phase III that we want to make sure you are aware of!This page will be regularly updated to correspond to changes in the museum s operations.Our popular free tours of the Goxhill Tower, WWI Hangar and WWII Luftwaffe Hangar are not available at this time. However, the World War I Hangar is available to visitors who wish to self guide.Although we are taking the steps necessary to resume offering our Bi-Plane rides, they are not available at this time.The children s play area inside the museum and the flight simulators are not available at the present time.Several of our button-operated interactive elements have also been disabled and are labeled accordingly for visitors.Our staff and volunteers continue to work hard to keep our visitors safe!Weather permitting, we will position our aircraft outside on the ramp for viewing.We are continuing our rigorous schedule of cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces such as door handles, restrooms, etc. The cleaning schedule will be posted where it is visible on especially high-touch areas.Our Museum Store will continue to make use of Online Ordering and In-Store Pickup options to provide you flexibility while you shop.Mask (cloth face covering) usage by staff, volunteers and visitors is mandatory. *The Museum has instituted a sick patron policy which will require that those who are sick, symptomatic, or caring for someone who is sick visit another time.We will continue to offer free content and programs online for those practicing social distancing and remaining in their homes.High traffic areas of the museum will have a flow pattern marked on the floor to aid visitor distancing efforts.*Medical Exemptions Apply The Military Aviation Museum is home to one of the largest private collections of World War I and World War II era military aircraft in the world. Each of our planes has been beautifully restored to its prior military condition, using original parts whenever possible.Most of the planes are airworthy and flown at the museum during flight demonstrations and at air shows throughout the year. Some being the last flight-ready aircraft of their time, and all of them being one of a kind.The museum is open to all. Nearly every aircraft on display is in flying condition and you can really tell that it is the main focus of the museum. Every staff member I asked was able to point at a plane and say I fly that one, with amazing stories to boot! The planes are in immaculate condition. A great spot for photographers.
