JIMS STATUS OVERVIEW

FROM JIM:Flash back to June of 2012, I was diagnosed with advanced Esphageal Cancer. After months of chemo and radiation treatments, followed by Esophogectomy Surgery, the cancer was completely gone and we praised GOD for the great miracle of healing and gave HIM the glory and honor. I went back to work and began to rebuild my life back to normal with the only difference being the loss of my left vocal cord as a result of the cancer. I was able to speak softly, but was no longer able to sing. I was not daunted and was believing that my Lord Jesus Christ, in whom I trust and follow, would fix that also in HIS time.

So, with that said, on March of this year, 2014, I was diagnosed with the return of the cancer. It had already been present in my body for several months before I noticed it and unfortunately paralyzed my one good vocal cord.It left me without the ability to speak and required that I have a Tracheostomy procedure to allow me to breathe, since the vocal cords are essentially in an almost closed position. This cuts off the main airway to the lungs. I am now preparing to begin more chemo treatments and am praying for GODs intervention, not only to heal the cancer again, but to make me totally whole and able to speak and sing again.My wonderful wife Carolyn is at my side constantly during this new road in our journey. GOD is able and as it is said, with GOD, all things are possible.I believe this with all my heart and we are asking that our family, friends, and all our Christian brothers and sisters pray to our loving GOD for the same. He is hearing your prayers.

What an awesome day GOD has given us today. 70 degrees, sunshine, and a cool morning breeze. Sitting on our deck updating the website. I have lost a lot of weight, but I think it has leveled off.The LORD is with me and what more can a man ask for in this life? I have my wonderful wife Carolyn at my side, a constant blessing that I am so grateful for. I am grateful for everything the LORD is doing. HE is working and preparing the miracle we are all praying for.Faith the size of a mustard seed is all that is required and a firm stand on the WORD. I have already claimed the victory! HE has heard our petitions and is responding in kind. Bless the LORD, all on the Earth and in Heaven. For HE still reigns!!! HAVE AWONDERFUL AND BLESSED DAY TO ALL..

Met with the Oncology doctor at the Siteman Cancer Center in St Louis MO yesterday and we scheduled the first chemo treatment to begin next Tuesday, May 27.I prayed very hard about this decision and feel this is where the LORD is leading me.I believe GOD places the right people in our paths for HIS purpose and my Oncology doctor is one of them. You always have the opportunity to reject treatment, but I am stepping ahead in faith by accepting the treatment since I am in a very weakened state after losing over 100 lbs since the cancer was diagnosed and there are no guarantees.We must walk by faith inLthese situations knowing that our Heavenly father will be with us every step of the way. In this I am confident. By HiS wounds we are healed
