Welcome to the British Orthopaedic Oncology SocietyThe purpose of the British Orthopaedic Oncology Society is to promote discussion of oncological issues amongst Orthopaedic Surgeons in the United Kingdom and Ireland.The British Orthopaedic Oncology Society are delighted to invite you to London for the 31st Annual Meeting, now rescheduled to take place on Friday 13th November 2020. Due to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the decision to reschedule our Annual BOOS Meeting to 13th November 2020, which will take place as planned at the Wellcome Collection, London. We have also extended the deadline for abstract submissions for the meeting to Monday 31st August 2020. All usual abstract procedures will apply. The health, safety and well-being of exhibitors, delegates and staff is always our number one priority. We recommend that our exhibitors and delegates refer to the guidelines and protocols as suggested by the World Health Organisation, Public Health England and the NHS.BOOS Presidential Message: COVID-19During this challenging time, BOOS is committed to the safety of our members during this rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic. We have therefore made the decision to postpone the 2020 Annual Meeting until November. We need to work together to ensure that you remain safe and are well-equipped to provide care to patients who require urgent or emergency surgeries. The BOOS 2020 committee welcomes abstracts from all those working in and around orthopaedic oncology. The annual BOOS conference is a key opportunity for knowledge sharing and discussion for all those working in or training in the field of orthopaedic oncology and your presentations will be at the heart of what we hope will be a varied and inspiring programme.If you would like to be part of this year’s conference and share your work with peers from across the UK and beyond, please consider submitting an abstract.
