For Public Release – Return to Play June 15, 2020 (Edited June 22 to include Niagara reopening)The Ontario Government has now moved the Province into Phase 2 in all areas outside of the GTA and expanded social gathering limits from 5 to 10 people. Outdoor recreational sports activities remain limited to training and participants MUST remain 2 metres apart when on site. No games or scrimmages are currently allowed and access to the clubhouse will be limited to the use of the washrooms.Our return to play planning has been reviewed and approved in both Barrie and St. Catharines and is now posted on the website. We will be executing a plan to allow for close family/friends to rent a rink in one hour segments and the individuals participating will be required to sign a waiver confirming their commitment to the social distancing guidelines in our return to play plan as well as the one’s provided by Public Health and the Province. We have set up an online booking system so you can see available times and book in your group.We will begin using the Outdoor Barrie facility effective Mon June 22nd and will begin using the outdoor rinks in St. Catharines on Mon June 29th.The plan in Niagara is currently being reviewed in St. Catharines and we will advise as we receive a response. Orillia and Welland are located on City parkland and we will be phasing them in when we receive approval from those communities.We have released our statement surrounding credits for the Spring 2020 season, March Break Camps Summer Camps. The Clash of the Titans Tournament features the top 16 teams in North America competing for a large cash prize pool. The World Outdoor Ball Hockey Championships has been our signature event with 70+ teams competing each year. The tournament features multiple divisions to compete in. The Ontario Youth Open Championships is our newest signature event and is an open tournament featuring four divisions for different age groups: Penguin, Beaver, Cadet, Cadet Sr.Located at 125 Ferndale Drive, Barrie, Ontario, the Barrie Ball Hockey Club features four outdoor rinks. The club offers divisions for all ages and skill levels. Youth leagues offer two choices: house league and a competitive team entry division. There are also competitive and recreational leagues for men women, as well as co-ed leagues.Located at 16 Melbourne Avenue, St. Catharines, Ontario, the Niagara Ball Hockey Club is a part of the Ballhockey.com Athletic Centre. The facility features two rinks; one indoor and one outdoor, as well as other amenities including a fully licensed bar. The club offers both competitive and recreational divisions for all men, women children and operates year round.The Welland Ball Hockey Club offers Men, Women Children of all ages an opportunity to turn back the clock and enjoy the great game of outdoor ball hockey.
