Honoring student veterans at ASUAt the end of each semester, the Pat Tillman Veterans Center and the ASU Alumni Association recognize student veteran graduates with the Veterans Honor Stole Ceremony. Every year the ceremony grows larger, with more than 150 graduates and 700+ guests in attendance this year. It is a point of pride for our student veterans and their families. Student spotlight: Joshua LoescherJoshua Loescher, spring 2019 outstanding interdisciplinary graduate for the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions online master’s degree program, is a Wisconsin Air National Guard fire chief. His capstone project examines the impact of converting firefighters from being federally funded employees to regular federal employees. Read more about Loescher’s work here.     To recognize those who have gone above and beyond to support members of our student veteran and military community, we’ve created the Pat Tillman Veterans Center Honor Roll.Veteran, military and dependent students, and Pat Tillman Veterans Center employees are encouraged to nominate any ASU faculty or staff member, or other community member (including a parent, student, or other university or community college professor) who they believe is deserving of special recognition for their commitment to supporting the veteran and military community at ASU.Honorees will receive a framed Honor Roll certificate and citation, and will be featured on the center’s social media accounts.Nominate someone "Arizona State University is proud to serve our military veterans and their dependents as they undertake the pursuit of their educational goals.
