From inauthentic to hypocritical to outdated to downright harmful, Christian sanctuaries all too often receive harsh criticisms from the public. But when we turn to what God says about the church, he calls it the bride of Christ, something Jesus himself came down to establish, the loving, dedicated, selfless community for anyone who wants to give their life over to God. It may be true that the church is flawed, but that’s because it’s made up of people, and since nobody is perfect, neither is anything they make. Renovate has set its sights on the identity Jesus gave the church thousands of years ago: to be a bringer of God’s kingdom on Earth. Here, we tackle the hard questions and focus on lasting relationships which can lead to spiritual formation. We worship through music, offerings, prayer, and acts of service.
