Q Khan Institute of Computer Sciences and Information Technology (KICSIT), Kahuta, which was inaugurated in November 2000 by Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan himself, the founder and then Chairman of KRL KICSIT aims to offer quality education at an affordable cost. Currently, it is offering two four-year degree programs as Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCE) and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS). BSCE is accredited by PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council) and BSCS is registered with NCEAC (National Computing Education Accreditation Council) with accreditation in process Read more BS (Computer Science) The Bachelor of Sciences in Computer Science (BSCS) Degree program is affiliated with University of Engineering & Technology, Taxila (Existing Batches) . BSCS program is spread over four academic years. Each academic year consists of two regular teaching semesters i.e. Fall and Spring semesters. BS (Computer Engineering) The Bachelor of Sciences in Computer Engineering (BSCE) Degree program is affiliated with University of Engineering & Technology, Taxila (Existing Batches) . BSCS program is spread over four academic years. Each academic year consists of two regular teaching semesters i.e. Fall and Spring semesters. 18th Convocation of UET Taxila and Affiliated Institutions 18th Convocation has been held on 14th and 15th February 2020 at Jinnah Jinnah Convention Centre Islamabad. BSIT, BSCS and BSCE graduated of KICSIT got the degrees and position holders of each program have been awarded with the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. 2020-02-15 KTECH Competitions 2019 KTECH is In-House competitions of KICSIT. KTECH comprise thirty different technical and co-curricular competitions. The Third chapter of KTECH is conducted on 9th to 12th December, 2019 2019-12-09 Change of Scope Visit by PEC The change of scope visit was held on 25 October 2019, in which the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) visitation team has conducted detail inspection of KICSIT. 2019-10-25 Outcome Based Education (OBE) - Training In the series of training sessions for faculty at KICSIT, Mr. Muhammad Asjad Saleem (Assistant Professor, Software Engineering Deptt. , UET Taxila) presented a very useful training session on the topic of Outcome Based Education(OBE). In his presentation, he discussed multiple OBE implementation strategies. Attendees find this one very helpful and showed very good response. 2019-09-25 KICSIT Open House 2019 held on 18th September 2019 KICSIT organized its annual Open House for the year 2019. Graduates from both disciplines i.e. Computer Science Computer Engineering took part in it displayed their Final Year projects in the presence of top software hardware companies individuals. Many projects got the attention of companies and they appreciated the work of the graduates.Projects related to Cyber Security, Data Sciences, Health Care, Automation of Book Scanner, Product analysis many more were demonstrated. 2019-09-18 NCEAC Accreditation Visit NATIONAL COMPUTING EDUCATION ACCREDITATION COUNCIL (NCEAC) visited KICSIT on 19-June-2019 for the accreditation of BS Computer Science Program. 2019-06-19 PEC ACCREDITATION VISIT Pakistan Engineering Council Visited KICSIT for accreditation of BS computer Engineering program. Visit held on 17 and 18 June 2019. 2019-06-18 KICSIT Sport Week 2019 KICSIT Sport Week held on 11-15 March 2019. 2019-03-15 Youm-e-Takbir day celebration at KICSIT Youm-e-Takbir day was celebrated at KICSIT New Campus with high spirits on 21 June 2019. 2019-06-21 Seminar on First Aid and Medicine Usage Awareness Delivered by Dr. Mashood Hamza (M.O) and M.
