Welcome to KUNGONI Online, the portal for Kungoni Centre s three websites and the Kungoni weblog! KAPmalawi.org KAPmalawi.org is the website of the Kungoni Art Project, which seeks to record forty years of cultural and artistic activity at Kungoni Centre. This striking image of Ngaliba, the Great Circumcisor of the Yao people of Malawi, stands at Sun n Sand Holiday Resort, Mangochi. It is the work of Thomas Mpira, who has devoted his life to Kungoni Centre and is recognised as amongst the greatest of the current generation of artists, and dates to 2015. Look for the sign 60 km. south of Salima (Senga Bay), 100 km. north of Balaka. Dedza and Mangochi (Cape Maclear) are both just over an hour away.
