Tronc, 23, pleaded guilty yesterday at the Ipswich Magistrates Court to possessing dangerous drugs and possessing drug utensils. The court heard on January 14, Boonah police were called to a car crash at Burnett Creek, south of Boonah. They found the car had crashed into a tree and the driver, Tronc, standing next to the car. Police searched the car where they found 1500 grams of cannabis, and a glass water pipe. He admitted to police it was cannabis and the pipe and the drugs were his. The court heard he told police he had found the large amount of drugs in bushland. Defence lawyer Matthew Fairclough said there was no evidence to show Troncs claims were not true. Mr Fairclough said Tronc lived in a remote area outside Boonah with a lot of bushland near him. He told the court the police did not allege the drugs were intended for part of a commercial operation. Magistrate Bevan Manthey said Tronc had been found in possession of a huge amount of cannabis and was fortunate it had not been taken to a higher court. Nina has a microchip, making it possible to positively identify her, but her fear after the accident most likely kept her away from people. Not just dozens but hundreds, even thousands, of print and television media pieces spread like wildfire, and the hunt for Nina was on. Luke Macner lost his cell phone in the crash and his car was totaled, but the loss did not stop there. He also suffered damage to his prosthetic leg, wheelchair, and, of course, he lost his new best friend. Nina was meant to serve as his new wheelchair service dog, and Macner tearfully told news crews Im lost without [her]. And so it was cause for celebration when an HSTB representative informed this author that Nina appears to have been found. Apparently a woman found a dog fitting her description just one half-mile from the crash site on Saturday night, April 19, 2014. It wasnt until the woman saw the news on Monday, April 21, 2014, that she realized who the four-legged girl in her home must be and called with the good news. Nina will be transported to HSTB to be checked for injuries tomorrow morning, April 22, 2014. Although the final verification has not yet come in, all indications are that Nina has been found. No word yet on whether the woman will be collecting the one thousand dollar reward HSTB began offering over the weekend for Ninas safe return.

One man in his sixties died early Tuesday morning in a one-car accident along I-635 and K-5 in Kansas City, Kan. The crash happened around 2:30 Tuesday morning in the southbound lanes. There were two people in the small compact car when the driver crossed over the highway, rolled the vehicle and ended up on a grassy hill. Roll over accidents are immensely survivable, as long as you got your seatbelt on, said an officer with the Kansas Highway Patrol. Its the only little thing we can do to keep us safe when we make a mistake like that. The driver, identified as Kevin Fisk, 60, was not wearing a seatbelt. He died at the scene. A 35-year-old male passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries. He called authorities to report the accident. The Kansas Highway Patrol said speed may have been a factor.

Early Sunday morning police tried to pull over the vehicle, which had been reported stolen. The driver of the vehicle, 17-year-old Charles Miller, took off, though, at a high rate of speed. The officers attempted to follow the vehicle, but lost sight after the car stirred up a high amount of dust and debris. Police continued to follow the dust trail to the I-75 service drive, where officers saw the vehicle had turned upside down and was crashed against a median wall near Campbell. Charles had lost control of the vehicle. Police went down the embankment onto the freeway and called for EMS. Charles and his two friends, 14-year-old Cynthia Zaraharas and 16-year-old Suhali Alvarez, died from injuries sustained in the crash. Fire services were alerted to the incident at around 6.30am and arrived to find a vehicle in the side of the building. Eye witness Bianca Jayne-Carr said on Twitter: Woke up to yelling this morning after a car crashed into Emsworth Sailing Club. Big explosion and the place is in flames. Around 35 firefighters tackled the blaze and a man was rescued from the car and taken to hospital with minor injuries. Police say the 82-year-old driver has since been arrested on suspicion of arson and reportedly crashed into the building at 70mph. A Hampshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said earlier: We were called to Emsworth Sailing Club after a Land Rover crashed into the building. A fire spread from the car onto the roof of the club and we have teams tackling the fire. We have fire crews from Emsworth, Havant, Hayling Island, the Special Equipment Unit from Cosham, and teams from Horndean. We also have also got a search and rescue team on stand-by to search the building once the fire is out.

According to LAPD Capt. Charles Phillip Hearn with the Topanga Division, a female officer was responding to a call around 4:30 p.m. when her cruiser was hit at the intersection of Parthenia Street and Tampa Avenue. The car that hit the cruiser spun out and hit a truck head-on, causing the truck to back up into another car. A total of four cars were involved in the crash, including the police car, Hearn said. It is unclear what kind of injuries the officer had, but Hearn said she is in a lot of pain. Two other people, including a 6-year-old girl, were also transported with minor injuries.

One man in his sixties died early Tuesday morning in a one-car accident along 635 and K-5 in Kansas City, Kan. The crash happened around 2:30 Tuesday morning in the southbound lanes. There were two people in the small compact car when the driver crossed over the highway, rolled the vehicle and ended up on a grassy hill. Roll over accidents are immensely survivable, as long as you got your seatbelt on, said an officer with the Kansas Highway Patrol. Its the only little thing we can do to keep us safe when we make a mistake like that. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt. He died at scene. A male passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries. He called authorities to report the accident. The Kansas Highway Patrol said speed may have been a factor.
