About the GBS Predictor The GBS Predictor Model was conceived in 2008 to try and bring the most important elements and player attributes into a single place for everyone to use. If you ve ever followed top level golf, it s evident that certain players respond time and again on certain types of track and in certain conditions; some players seemingly find form out of the blue , whereas others build up steadily to a win/contending performance over a period of weeks. Some players hit the ball very straight, some are wayward - but different types of player can seemingly survive at the top level by performing well when the conditions - and the courses - suit their game. Many punters would identify Phil Mickelson as having a great short game; Bubba Watson and Dustin Johnson as being monstrously long off the tee; Ian Poulter and Luke Donald being great putters...but other than the superstars of golf, who else is strongest in each department? Yes, you can pour through the stats and see who s putted well this season, but what the predictor allows you to do is combine all critical attributes and weight them according to how YOU see the demands of each event. Over the years we ve collated mountains of statistics to form the basis of the predictor model, identifying which attributes are strongest with each player. About Golf Betting System The GBS website, which is now a proud member of the GPWA, CAP/CAP, AGD and PAL was launched in the autumn of 2008 initially with just the output of the predictor model effectively pasted into a webpage.
