Amber began her law enforcement career on April 23, 1999, when she joined the Bastrop Police Department as a patrol officer. After several years of distinguished service which included numerous awards, Amber left the Bastrop Police Department and began employment with the Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office in 2006.While employed with the Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office, Amber served in numerous positions, including corrections officer and patrol officer. She was also able to obtain both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisiana at Monroe during this time.In 2007, Amber was requested to assist with the instruction of professional development courses, and in 2008, was officially transferred to the Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office Training Division.Amber both developedand instructed in-service training courses for the Corrections Division and the Patrol Division; managed an online training system for all members of the Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office; wrote, managed, and wasproject director for numerous grants; maintainedthe agency's social websites and training website; taught the Louisiana P.O.S.T. Level III certification course; collaborated with the University of Louisiana at Monroe Criminal Justice Department; instructedat the North Delta Regional (Police) Training Academy; and received certification as a Louisiana P.O.S.T. Corrections Master Instructor.In 2015, Amber was hired by Louisiana Delta Community College in Monroe, Louisiana, and currently leads the Department of Criminal Justice where she instructs and creates educational curriculum for those seeking an associate's degree in the field of Criminal Justice.<<< Thank you for your visit >>>
