Tamil Thalaivas are a rather new franchise having been introduced in the 2017 season of Pro Kabaddi. The team is jointly owned by Mr. Sachin Tendulkar and Mr. Nimmagadda Prasad. The Thailavas motto is “Idhu Namma Aatam” which translates from Tamil into “This is our sport”, iterating their aim to connect every Tamilian with the sport of kabaddi.

Dabang Delhi KC is a venture of DoIT Sports Management India Pvt. Ltd. which is founded by Ms. Radha Kapoor, The company entered the Indian sports eco-system with its first acquisition in the Pro Kabaddi League 2014 with the purchase of the Delhi franchise – ‘Dabang Delhi KC’”. Joginder Singh Narwal captained the team to its first PKL title in 2022.

Gujarat Giants owned by Adani Sportsline, is an Ahmedabad-based Kabaddi team participating in the Pro Kabaddi League. Entering the fray in 2017, the team known for its slogan of Garjega Gujarat roared its way to the finals for two consecutive years. Adani Sportsline believes in nurturing homegrown sports at the grass-roots level in line with its philosophy of nation-building.

Formed in 2008, the team is administered by the Icelandic Cricket Association (Krikketsamband Íslands). An Icelandic team competed at the 2016 Pepsi Cup tournament in Prague, finishing fifth out of six teams. They won their first international match, a fifty-over game against Switzerland, by 215 runs.

Bengal Warriors is a professional Kabaddi team which participates in Pro Kabaddi League, a professional Indian kabaddi league. Bengal Warriors are co-owned by Future Group and Indian celebrity Akshay Kumar. Bengal Warriors led by Iranian Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh edged past Dabang Delhi K.C. 39-34 to win their first Pro Kabaddi title in Season 7 held in 2019.
