Cross-country skiing in Val Gardena
Tracks at Monte Pana - S. Cristina
The cross-country tracks are 30 km long, you can choose between 5 tracks of various levels of difficulty. The tracks are 8 m wide, the modern snow cat Husky 20T5 guarantees perfect cross-country conditions.
The cross-country centre is open daily from December to March (snow conditions permitting). Opening hours range from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.

At the cross-country centre both beginners and experienced cross-country skiers can learn and improve their technique. Qualified cross-country ski instructors of the Ski School S. Cristina offer suitable private and group courses. Lessons can be booked through the Ski School S. Cristina.

Information material and maps of the routes at your disposal
The cross-country centre is located at 1600 m at Monte Pana, above the town of S. Cristina. Take the highway exit A22 Chiusa-Val Gardena, follow the directions to Val Gardena, S. Cristina. When you reach the centre of S. Cristina take the first exit at the roundabout and follow the directions to Monte Pana (approximately 2 km from the centre).
From S. Cristina there is a chairlift, which takes you to Monte Pana (free car park at the valley station)

Monte Pana has the following to offer...Our little visitors can let off steam at the sunny slide hill. Monte Pana offers a variety of winter hiking trails, for which snowshoes and hiking sticks can be rented at the ticket point PanaStua: SunPana (1,5 km) Troi Unika (1,5 km) Mont Sëura (5 km) For those who want to improve their cross-country skiing skills, there is a practice course with various games and obstacles near the stadium. You might be able to observe local athletes training at the two ski jumps near the ticket point PanaStua. At the opposite site of the ticket point you find a small gastro hut with a hot beverage vending machine and a sunny terrace.
