About Us

Founded in 2003 by Marc DiMario & David Frank SunWood’s primary focus is on Clean Burning Advanced Wood Heating Systems. These systems include Wood Pellet Boiler Systems, Cord Wood Boiler Systems & Wood Chip Boilers Systems. Our Product line includes: Fröling, MESys, OkoFEN, Pellergy, KöB/Viessmann, Garn, & Evo.

With a 300+ customers & installations throughout Vermont, SunWood Systems has extensive experience with design and installation in residential, and commercial environments.  We Service Vermont & all of New England from our showroom and Warehouse in Waitsfield, VT.  We can facilitate financing & have extensive experience working with Engineers, Architects, Mechanical Contractors and most importantly, Owners.

 

 

Services

SunWood Offers feasibility studies, life cycle analysis, carbon foot printing, and financial & grant acquisition assistance. These services are tailored to meet the needs of each customer and can be critical in determining a biomass project readiness as well as it’s financial viability.

Aditionally…SunWood is a licensed and insured plumbing and heating contractor for commercial & residential work in the State of Vermont with 10+ years experience in heating systems and biomass boilers. We work closely with several engineering teams that also have extensive experience with biomass installations at the small commercial,  institutional , and residential levels (Andy Shapiro Kohler & Lewis, LN Consulting, FH Systems, Lane Associates).

We feel there is real value in having the person who sells you the system also have extensive experience in design, installation, and commissioning of your biomass heating system. We offer our entire customer list as for references as we fully believe in customer satisfaction. In short, we take great pride and ownership in our systems and their installation.

Residential

We perform complete installations  and we service what we sell.  See our gallery for examples of some completed installations.  For new homes or renovation jobs we work closely with your architect, general contractor, and other contractors to ensure that our portion of your job is completed in sync with the construction process. We also offer support service for customers who choose to do their own installations or hire their own heating contractor.  After the sale, we always keep a line of communication with the owner to insure they can continue to operate the system safely and efficiently as well as provide any routine service.

 

Commercial

Our commercial installations include anything from businesses, to schools, to public buildings. See our gallery for examples of some of the installations we have completed. From the design stage to installation, we work carefully with all those involved in the project to make sure that all unique requirements are met. We carefully coordinate our activities with the various other subcontractors involved in the installation to streamline the entire process. After the the project is completed, we always keep a line of communication with the user to insure they can continue to operate the system safely and efficiently and that any routine service is completed according to specifications.
