I m afraid of being late and having things take forever to get into the USA. Do you believe that processing will take more than 9 months now? Compared to July where we saw 34 approvals, we are pushing triple digits!  We have seen 25% of the approvals being K1-Visas which is a huge jump from 0% in July! Never lose hope! Does anyone have experience with expedite requests for K1’s? (Or any visa if there’s no difference!) My fiancée and I are going to make a request on grounds of financial hardship for the petitioner. Despite Covid and a rash of US consulate closures, 34 VJ ers had their IR-1 Visas Approved in July so Far! Congrats!  Do you think it is still a good plan to file for a K1 Visa during these times or just wait for the situation to improve? I have severe flying phobia and even with medical evidence and the financial support, USCIS denied my I-129F application. The beneficiary s family are long time friends and lives in Sri Lanka. I will now file a CR1 but I cannot fly, especially since going to Sri Lanka from USA requires minimum 16+ hours and 3 flight changes. Only a person with flying phobia can understand. Help? I navigate to the online form where it says "before you file a change of address form, consider the following conditions". One of the conditions is having a myUSCIS account, which I do have. I logged into the myUSCIS account, navigated to the profile page, but it will only let my change my phone number. Won't let me update my address. Anybody know why this might be? I was the only US citizen attending the interview with their spouse, which wasn't surprising since the border has been closed to foriegners since March 22 due to COVID. The interviewer swore me in along with my wife and her daughter since I was there. Actually I answered most of the questions. The guy interviewing me grew up about 30 miles away from where I live in the US so that didn't hurt I'm sure. Questions were: How and when did we meet? Does daughter have contact with biological father? Do I live in Vietnam with my wife? What was your last argument about? That was pretty much it. No questions for 14 year old daughter. He flipped through photos and said we were approved. Didn't look at tax transcripts or even a copy of 2019 taxes since I can't get a transcript for last year. Apparently someone tried to file for a refund on my SSN so when I filed my taxes online they said they couldn't accept an e-file due to the fraudulent filing and I had to file a paper copy. My only concern at all going into the interview is that we didn't have a letter from the bio dad saying it's OK to take the daughter out of the country. He's not on the birth certificate and they have had no contact or support since less than one year old. He didn't even comment on that so I'm assuming it's a non-issue. It was as anti-climactic as I figured it would be since I live here with them. We are moving to US mid-March. Kind of sucks since our 2 year anniversary is April 28 and our medical expires April 19 so we will have to adjust status after two years but whatever. I have all documents ready but lot of new stuffs have happened since then. - We didn't have 2019 tax file documents and now we do. Was going to bring 2016, 2017, 2018. - Our co-sponsor also didn't have 2019 tax file documents and now they do. Was going to bring 2016, 2017, 2018. - We both were unemployed at the time and now we both have jobs. - Both of co-sponsor have new jobs. - Our assets have grown. - Our co-sponsor assets have grown. - We have more recent photos that we can add So those are all the newer stuffs that has happened to us since then. Part 3 question 9 of i944 states that i have to list the asset. For the name of asset holder do I put both names? Do I have to send in 12 months worth of statement? I m not sure because I m on the acc for only one month. My wife also added me to her credit card as an authorized user. Not sure if I have a credit report. I tried to apply on Experian but they need a social security which I don t have. CTimeline Finally got my physical OCI card today. (Oct 30, 2020). I applied on Sept 23 and it took 5 weeks to get it. (New York Consulate) Finally, my immigration journey is over. I am free to travel anywhere in the world !
