Our building is an old Surry Hills warehouse (circa 1940s) which was converted into apartments in 1992-3. This is the third time both the exterior, stairwells and garage have been painted in almost thirty years and its been by far the best job of the three. Tony Isgroves presentation was absolutely professional, his price very competitive and his workmen well organised, thorough, punctual and quiet (no radios!). The scaffolding was erected swiftly and after a truly superb paint job, just as quickly dismantled. And when Tony says he responds to all emails, he does. Absolutely recommended.

I have been asked by the executive committee to write to you expressing the satisfaction of the committee with the standard of the recent paintworks your firm undertook at Shipmates, and to commend, through you, Bruce and the rest of your staff for the efficient and courteous manner in which they went about their various tasks. There has not been one complaint made to me concerning either the standard of paintwork throughout of the condition (ie carpets, cleanliness, etc) of any apartment after painting was completed. The exterior and common areas of the building were completed to a high standard. The committee appreciates that such an undertaking presents the successful tenderer with numerous logistical problems, not the least of which is the co-ordination of the various occupants in order to access their apartments at time convenient to both parties. This was accomplished with the absolute minimum of fuss and, amazingly, without complaint. All occupiers I have spoken to have only praise for your employees, and say that they attended their duties in a competent, courteous and cheerful manner. My almost daily dealings with your foreman Bruce left me with the same impression. It is a pleasure to have such a large job completed without a hiccup or murmur of dissatisfaction. It certainly stands in stark contrast to the recent spalling renovation and rectification works carried out at Shipmates, where many complaints were made by occupiers concerning the action (and inactions) of the building firm. The committee takes this opportunity to thank you and your staff for the manner in which you performed your contract with Ship mates… I confirm that this letter is an unsolicited comment concerning the efficiency of your firm and is written at the insistence of the committee, after discussion at its most recent meeting. You may use this letter for any purpose you wish, and the members of the Shipmates Committee are only too willing to personally commend your painting services to anyone who cares to contact us.
