Metro MTB, along with our affiliate OCMB, have a mission to promote and protect environmentally responsible mountain bike opportunities in the Milwaukee metro area. Since our founding in 1994, Metro has built and maintained more than 20 miles of trails in the Milwaukee area.Trail maintenance and stewardship is a core function of our group. Metro hosts a number of trail days to maintain and improve our local trails, and participates in regular training to stay abreast of best practices for trail building and maintenance.Metro also organizes and sponsors a number of events for everyone from new riders to racers, including Wednesday night timed rides, mountain bike rides for novices, and social rides for those who just want to connect with other riders. Metro works with public officials to promote environmentally responsible and respectful riding by our members and the community.Regardless of your Metro Mountain Bikers membership status; donations help us build and maintain trails in our area.
