AOR is all set to release its last issue 9, for the volume 4. Read More Hengyong Yu Associate Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, UM Lowell As an organizing committee member of the IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging 2014 (ISBI'14), I proposed a new feature "data papers" and got it introduced in ISBI'14, which is to provide a platform for resource sharing and reproducible research. To boost the impact of data papers, we decided to look for a partner to launch a new journal for data papers. After a rigorous selection process, the JSciMed Central publisher was chosen. In close collaboration with the publisher, the JSM Biomedical Imaging Data Papers was launched in 2014, and the outcome exceeded our expectation. The staff team at JSciMed Central offered a strongest support through a series of transitions, and continue putting a high level of energy and commitment into developing the journal. From the beginning of the journal fostering process, JSciMed Central assigned an excellent editorial officer, Mr. Ricky Martin, who frequently give advice and help all the way along. We are delighted with the current product, already three volumes of our journal. In addition, for authors, what we are interested in are the advantages of publishing with JSciMed in the context of academic publications. First of all, it shows great fairness of review that is thorough, unbiased, fast and transparent. All articles submitted to JSciMed are subjected to review without selection bias. Furthermore, those who review manuscripts are excellent researchers professional in the field. The JSciMed Central Member Journals’ Editorial Board and Review Board ensure that JSciMed Central Journals maintain the highest standards in the scientific rigor. At the meantime, the time length from submission to acceptance is short and the speed of publication is fast. The Journal of sleep medicine and disorders is now 3 years old. The journal was borne at a critical time when our knowledge of the mysteries of sleep were beginning to unfold. In ancient times sleep was supposed to be something external to the body, and dreams were the sign of the will of Gods, often used to bend the destiny of the others, to subjugate people. Now we are beginning to shed light on the cross talks occurring during the night in our organism, the interdependence of our organs and functions, the role of Apnea. Sleep is the receiver of outside information and in turn shapes our destiny. However many mysteries still remain in the dark. I believe that the magazine will increase the number of citations and raise the impact factor in the near future.
