He is a Level III instructor certified by USA Archery (USAA). James has contributed to dozens of NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS since 2011 and has many JUNIOR OLYMPIANS to his credit.Please note our COVID-19 safety protocol: All entering facility will be temperature tested.No one showing symptoms of any kind will be allowed in the facility.Everyone entering the facility must wear a face covering at all times. At least one open lane between archers. Non-shooters are not allowed upstairs. No archers other than lessons will be allowed. Students and coaches MUST sanitize hands before every lesson. Bows, arrows, tabs, and slings will be sanitized before every lesson. Lessons offered:Mon - Fri 10:00 - 8:00Saturday 11:00 - 6:00 Our daughter decided after watching Disney’s ‘Brave’ that she wanted to ‘try that’. So for Christmas we bought her a little $25 bow set with 3 arrows. After her dad showed her how to hold, load and release, she was hitting bullseyes within a few hours. Two months later (and three bows) we took her to a local range where we were told that she was actually really good and we needed to get her a ‘real’ bow. We did, and for the next 4 years she shot and shot and shot. We knew she needed a coach to take her to the next level and that the coach would have to be able to work with her personality so we started asking and looking. Coach James Loesch’s name came up several times so we decided to see if it would be a match. Within the first 15 minutes, I knew that we had found our Coach! He has been working with her for 12 months now and has taken her from a good barebow shooter to an Olympic Recurve archer with goals of being an Olympian. Her progress has been impressive and I can not state enough my appreciation for Coach James’ mentality of not wasting our money on equipment that she just doesn’t need or isn’t ready for. He is patient, encouraging, and understanding because he’s been ‘in her shoes’. Oh, and he puts up with me as well. Tanya M. Houston Archery Lessons & Range is a fantastic, family-owned and run facility that is perfect for all ages. My daughter has been taking lessons and enjoying archery with James for almost 4 years and looks forward to her lesson each time. James is friendly, down to earth and an expert at what he does.
