We are an informal and welcoming church situated in the heart of Ballymena. We long to experience the presence of God in our worship and we are open to the leading of the Holy Spirit as we seek to serve God in all that we do. Whilst we are delighted that you have visited our website we would be even more delighted to see you in person on a Sunday morning or evening or at any of our events or programmes. A passion for Jesus and compassion for people William Sinclair grew up in County Down, trained and worked as a teacher before going into the Presbyterian ministry in the late 1980s. He served as minister in Strean Presbyterian Church in Newtownards for 13 years and then was installed in First Ballymena as Lead Minister in September 2006. He loves sport, goes running and walking. He is married to Alison and has two grown up daughters, Laura and Jill and one son-in-law, Gareth. Matthew joined the staff team in First Ballymena in September 2016 having completed his studies at Union Theological College. He previously worked as Director of Youth Ministries in High Kirk and also had a short spell in Michelin. He is married to Laura and they have a daughter called Naomi. His hobbies include football, playing boardgames and listening to various podcasts. Our Location In the heart of the town, situated just off Church Street and opposite the Northern Regional College on Trostan Avenue. There are two large car parks adjacent to the church, parking is free on Sundays and evenings. If you display a disabled badge, there are a number of spaces reserved within the church grounds. [ Meetinghouse Lane, Ballymena, BT43 7BS ] Sunday School meets on Sunday mornings from September to June. The programme is for children from nursery to P7 and we teach the exciting news of the Bible through work books, short interactive talks, quizzes, singing and memory work. Come and join us on Sunday mornings as we gather for a family friendly service. There is something for all ages including a children's talk, children's church, creche and a mixture of contemporary and traditional music.
