Sisters OK..............so... a few years ago I made a Mairi lace mantilla veil for a gorgeous First Holy Communicant Eabha, her mum Janet said that she was going to keep it as an heirloom and that her younger daughter would wear it on her first communion day. WELL... here it is being worn by her sister Brigh (right). Along with Eabha (left) wearing it in 2018How lucky am I having these two beautiful sisters wearing my veil? INTRODUCING THE HEATHER DRAPED COWL VEILHere is a photo of The Heather veil, an open back, draped, cowl effect veil. It is featured in my Vintage collection named the Heather veil.This veil is draped and open at the back to show the details of the dress bodice through. It is fastened on each side of the head using toupe clips- or combs if you prefer. However I do feel that this veil needs a headpiece to cover the combs on either side. Communion Veils Embroidery I have a large selection of embroidered items which include napkins hankies some of which have poems embroidered on for a truly personal gift.I have also now created a little selection of lace garters with embroidered name date on. Some are extra cheap with slight flaws in them and some are perfect unique veils that dont have a page of their own!!Have a good browse, there are silk veils and real Spanish mantillas on there but once they are gone thats it, they cant be repeated. Below I am showing a very special 3d applique veil.It is actually a few veils in one! Here goes..It is a two layer veil made from ivory firm silk and has the Holly wired edging around and then my own applique 3d flowers hand-stitched onto it with a Swarovski crystal in the center of the flower.I have more photos of this veil if anyone wants to see them. I am thinking of putting this veil on the special sales page as it took me so long to make it I am not sure I can replicate it!If anyone is interested in it or wants more info about the applique veils just contact me.
