The Multicultural Village is going curbside! Many of your favourite vendors from the Belleville Waterfront Multicultural Festival and more will be joining us for Curbside Culture: A Take-Out Food Adventure.The Belleville Waterfront Multicultural Festival has been a 42-year tradition, bringing people together through food and celebrating the different cultures that make our community so vibrant. Since we can t have the Festival at Zwick s Park we ve gone back to the early traditions of this event with the Passport. The Passport will simply serve as your guide to find the participating vendors. Now you can travel the world right here in Belleville with many of the amazing foods you have come to expect from this event, plus some new additions to the lineup.Keep July 10-12 marked on your calendars! This event is based on the current safe restaurant practices including take-out and curbside pickup.Participating vendors will be operating from various locations around the City. You may have to wait in line for your food, so be prepared with a hat, sunscreen and water - anything that will make you feel comfortable while waiting for your food!ORDERINGOrdering is first come, first serve. There is no way to call ahead to our vendors and place an order. Food from the Curbside Culture menu must be ordered on demand at each location and is for take-out only. (Some locations do have patio seating if you choose to order from their regular menu)Please note if you pre-registered, thank you! This helped our vendors plan for this event to see how many visitors they should expect and what times will be busiest AND we hope it will decrease wait times. It is NOT a reservation or a ticket to this event.PARKINGWondering where to park when you pick up your food? There is plenty of FREE parking at the Fairgrounds and in City lots in Downtown Belleville! Other restaurants including India Curry House, Oriental Wok, The Boathouse and The Pier Patio BBQ all have parking at their business or nearby.PHYSICAL DISTANCING/MASKSSimilar to how we have gotten used to waiting in lines at the grocery store, you may have to wait in line to order your food. We ask that everyone respects the 2m physical distancing recommendation (stickers will be in place on the ground) and practice proper hand hygiene. Masks or face coverings are now required in all enclosed public places as Friday, July 10 at noon. We strongly encourage you to have one on hand as you may have to go inside to pay at some Curbside Culture locations. We have provided each location with an emergency provision of masks (limited supply) for those who don t already have one and if you are able to wear one, please do so to support the current health unit s order that requires masks be worn when entering any commercial space.PASSPORTIf you don t have one, these are also available at each location bring a pen to write down the answer to the trivia question and don t forget to drop them back off at the Log Cabin by Friday, July 17 to be entered into a draw for a prize package.
