Recently Released Department of Human Services: Behavioral Health Grants Management (Mar 29th) We concluded that the Department of Humans Services Behavioral Health Division did not have adequate internal controls to ensure effective oversight of behavioral health services grant agreements with counties, tribes, and providers. DHS also did not comply with key legal requirements and state policies and procedures related to management of internal controls, recordkeeping, oversight of grant agreements, and payments to grantees. Driver Examination Stations (Mar 17th) We found that the Driver and Vehicle Services Division (DVS) has struggled to meet the legal requirement that individuals be able to take a road test within 14 days of requesting one. However, we also found that the Legislature needs to clarify certain aspects of the requirement, as well as whether DVS has legal authority to allow individuals to take the Class D knowledge test online from their own homes. The Legislative Audit Commission Evaluation Subcommittee met on May 19 and selected 10 topics for further consideration. The Legislative Audit Commission will hold a hearing on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, 10:00 a.m., on the OLA report, DHS: Behavioral Health Grants Management, which was released on March 29, 2021. This meeting will be streamed via YouTube Live broadcast.The Legislative Audit Commission will hold a hearing on Thursday, May 27, 2021, 12:30 p.m., to review two OLA evaluations: Board of Cosmetology Licensing and MnDOT Workforce and Contracting Goals. OLA is currently accepting applications for an Intermediate Program Evaluator. The Program Evaluation Division recently completed updates on past reports.
