My name is Matthew, and I am a wedding and engagement photographer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  As you're learning through your search, your wedding photographer will play an integral role in how your wedding day will be remembered. In my near decade as a Pittsburgh wedding photographer, I've crafted a wedding photography style that's both elegant and timeless, with a sharp, creative eye for genuine moments and vibrant expression. I have a real dedication to each every one of my wedding couples, and I consider it a real honor to photograph each every wedding day. My passion for photography began in my early twenties in college, and I haven't stopped shooting since. After earning my BFA in Photography from West Virginia University, my adventures led me down a path of studying lighting composition with some of the best professional photographers in Pittsburgh. What continues to inspire me is the ability to capture people’s stories in a creative genuine way, while getting to know them in the process. Capturing emotions and honest expressions are what fuels my creative soul. I take absolute pride in creating photographs that couples can connect with. My wedding photography is an intuitive fusion of photojournalism creative portraiture. My focus has always been creating images that have a natural, elegant and editorial style while paying careful attention to lighting and decisive moments. A specialty I’ve worked hard to craft over the years in my wedding photography is taking a casual calm approach in getting a bride groom to open up and relax In front of my camera; avoiding anything that feels awkward posed while coaching them through the picture taking process to look their absolute best. Outside of photography, my wife I are a dynamic team of raising 3 young redheads within the South Hills of Pittsburgh. I love catching up with old friends, yoga+exercise, date nights with my wife of course my Netflix shows. When the kiddos get older, I can't wait to do more traveling with them my camera.
