To make that happen, the Illinois Department of Labor is launching Back to Business Illinois, a free, voluntary service that connects small businesses of 250 employees or less with consultants who will help them address workplace safety and health issues related to the coronavirus and create a plan to ensure a safe, halthy and productive environment for employees and visitors. These one-hour confidential consultations take place virtually, via teleconference https //www2.illinois.gov/sites/WorkSafe/Pages/default.aspx STATE OF ILLINOIS UDPATES SAFETY GUIDELINES FOR RESTAURANTS AND BAR ESTABLISHMENTS TO PROTECT PATRONS AND WORKERS FROM COVID-19 To further prevent spread, face coverings use will be required during interactions with wait staff and food service workers IDPH COVID-19 EMERGENCY RULESIn an effort to maintain the progress made in Illinois' COVID-19 pandemic response, the Governor is filing emergency rules for businesses, schools, and child care establishments regarding the use of face coverings and the size of gatherings. These rules provide multiple opportunities for compliance before any penalty is issued, giving local health departments and local law enforcement more leeway to support community public health in a productive manner. While existing, pre-pandemic enforcement laws, like revoking a license, are stringent and severe, these rules provide flexibility for local communities and a measured process to help keep people safe. That process is as follows First, businesses will be given a warning in the form of written notice and encouraged to voluntarily comply with public health guidance.Second, businesses that do not voluntarily comply will be given an order to have some or all of their patrons leave the premises as needed to comply with public health guidance and reduce risks.Third, if the business continues to refuse to comply, the business can receive a class A misdemeanor and be subject to a fine ranging from $75-$2,500.These rules do not apply to individuals and penalties will not exceed a misdemeanor and a $75-$2,500 fine. The emergency rules also reinforce the authority of IDPH and local health departments to investigate COVID-19 cases and reaffirm that businesses have a responsibility to cooperate with those investigations.https //www2.illinois.gov/Pages/news-item.aspx?ReleaseID=21906 FACE COVERINGSIndividuals are required to wear a face-covering or a mask when in a public place where they can’t maintain a six-foot social distance. Face-coverings will be required in public indoor spaces, such as stores. This new requirement applies to all individuals over the age of two who are able to medically tolerate a face-covering or a mask.FAQ for Businesses Concerning Use of Face-Coverings During COVID-19State of Illinois - Guidance on the Use of Masks by the General Public MyCOVIDRisk.app Community Health Assessment (CHA) Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) Kane Kares Nurse-Family Partnership Non-emergency calls received after working hours will be answered the next business day.
