We will attend meets if we have enough people going. That will require a sign-up at least three weeks in advance.2. *We will either choose one of these meets depending on interest (based on the age group of our team at present the PNY meet would be better for them, but the older kids need the long-course option that GPAC offers) or we may go to PNY on Saturday and GPAC on Sunday.3. If we do not have enough people going to a meet and swimmers are still interested, we may just go to one day of the meet. The PNY meet location is Washington High School. They are running the meet in a unique format. Please see below:8:00 Senior Warmup 8:30 Senior Meet 10:00 11 - 12 Warmup 10:30 11 - 12 Meet 12:00 9 - 10 Warmup 12:30 9 - 10 Meet 1:00 8 U Warmup 1:30 8 U Meet Folks,Due to a new Fed. Gov. regulation there has to be a certain type of drain grate in the bottom of the pool at Hurlburt. It is on order, but until it is here and installed, the pool is closed. They are working to rectify the situation. In the meantime we will take the following steps:1. On M, T, F (our regular Hurlburt practice days) we will meet at the playground across from the pool for dryland. Have shorts, T-shirt, SHOES, a towel to lie down on, and warm clothes to put on if the temp drops. We will workout from 4:00-5:15. If it rains we will go under the pavilion over there. This is a great opportunity to work on getting everyone stronger.2. I will also check with Eglin to see if we can swim there Monday afternoons if there is enough interest (let me know if you are interested in that opportunity).Thanks for your patience.Coach Dan No practice Friday evening due to the ECS meet at the YMCA. Warmup times are as follows. Afternoon group please be aware your warm upmay start earlier. I have to have entries in on Monday. We will have practice from 10-12 every day except Dec. 23, 25 and Jan. 1. Oh, no practcie on Sat. and Sun. 1. Beginning Nov. 17 Practice at Hurlburt will be Mon, Tues, and Fri. p.m.s from 3:30-6:00. Younger kids show at 4:30.2. Eglin practice will be Mon, Tues, Fri. a.m. from 5-6 and Thurs. p.m. from 4-6 as soon as the bubble is put up. Beginning Nov. 17 until further notice there will be no practice at Eglin due to the Bubble being put up. Expect about 2 weeks out of the water.3. At present we are planning no changes in practice schedule over the Thanksgiving Holidays. We may have a meeting for the parents sometime Thanksgiving week. Please let me know your preference of day. 1. Please remember to turn in your order form for a team parka if you want to order one. It does not have to be paid for at this time. I just need to know size and name and I ll take care of the rest!2. Our practice schedule will be changing on Nov. 17th. It is not confirmed as of yet but we should be swimming three mornings and one afternoon at Eglin, three afternoons at Hurlburt.Hopefully that will make enough practices available to everyone on both ends of town.3. There is still a chance to swim at CMSA on Saturday of the Nov. 15th weekend! Please let me know NOW if you wish to go.A number of you have been changing your minds about meets you willattend. We are going to go to the CMSA meet in Mobile on the weekendof Nov. 14-16, but, due to numbers, it looks like we will go only onSaturday. Right now I have four swimmers entered. If you wish to goto the meet and just Saturday works for you, please let me know by theend of the week; Oct. 24.Additionally, I have order forms for team parkas. If you would like one (they make great Christmaspresents!) the total cost should be approx. $85 depending on how manywe get. They will be black on the outside, gold lining, and purplelettering. Sizes are available in YOUTH: S,M,L and Adult: XS,S,M,L,XL.Please see me and ask for an order form if you would like one. Orders are due by Nov. 3. Just a few things to remember during October. I am entering the Dothan Meet(Oct 25 and 26) this coming week. I am going according to the meet sign up sheets I ve received and the emails. If there are any changes, please let me know by Tuesday.October 30 and 31st there will be no practice. Coach Dan will be out of town. Please take a look at the meets for November. It looks like we do have a few people that would like to go to the CMSA meet in Mobile. I would like to have more to make the meet economically feasible. Please let me know if you would like to go. The more the merrier! Friday, Sept. 26 there will be no practice due to the meet at GPAC.Warm up times for GPAC are: Fri: 4:40 p.m. Report at 4:20.Sat. and Sun: 8:20 a.m., report at 8:00 a.m.
