Previous Posts my soul mate? Passion Brain Malfunction This is Life?!?!?! I am such a techie! Archives April 2005 May 2005 June 2005 July 2005 Wednesday, July 27, 2005 my soul mate? So today i was reading my new Instyle, the one with Courtney Cox on the cover (who I absolutley love by the way), and I came across an interview with a celebrity man. The more I began to read the interview the more it became very obvious that this could be a potential match for me!! It was like every answer he gave to their questions was one that could have come from my own two lips!!! Crazy, I know! Who is it you ask? None other than Vince Vaughn! Now, I've never really had any kind of interest in him before, I never really even thought he was cute, but you never know...
So this is kind of what I have on my mind today... the one thing that everyone in the world has in common is passion. We all have a passion for something. For some people it's work, for others it's religion or family or sports or friends. The list could be endless. I belive that in everyone there is something that drives you, it makes you do what you don't want to do sometimes, in order to reach a goal that is innately important to you. I think that's what passion is; it's what drives you in life. What a dull and boring life it would be without passion! Can you imagine living in a world of no urgency? Where nothing really mattered to you? Passion is what makes life worth living. It is a really good thing. However, sometimes we can become so consumed with our passion that it turns into not such a good thing. For example; some people are consumed with passion for football. That, in and of itself, is not bad. It's not bad to want to share that with everyone, to desire everyone to jump onto your passion train and take a ride. But I belive that when you start looking down on everyone that doesn't share your view on football or even judging them for not thinking it's the best sport on the planet, you might have taken your good passion for the game and let it kind of spoil itself.
Everyone has different views on life and has different things that strike a cord with them. You can't make someone be passionate about something that they don't care about that much, anymore than you can make someone love you that doesn't. The best that you can do is to let people know what it is that drives you, what your passion is. If they want to pick it up, they will. If they don't, then it's probably for the best. What would it be like if everyone was passionate about the same things? I truly don't know what that would look like, but I do know that sometimes you can really hurt someone's feelings if your not careful with how you display your outpouring of passion!
Lately, I have been suffering from a disorder I like to refer to as a "Brain Malfunction". This is where my normally healthy and productive brain shuts down at what I would normally consider an important moment, for no apparent reason. Such as yesterday, when I allowed myself( heavy sigh) to do something I swore could never happen to me, run out of gas on the highway. I know, I know how does that happen? I blame it on my disorder. Or this weekend when I left my house and just didn't shut the garages door: the disorder. Or last week, when I opened my car door right into the ticket booth in the parking garage. Do you see what I mean here? I don't know if I need to take more vitamins or get more sleep or what, but it's really getting out of hand. In any case I am kind of wondering if maybe I could get some kind of medical exemption from work or life or a tax break or something. A handicap parking permit? Maybe it's just old age creeping in. Maybe this is how it happens! It begins in the mid twenties in moderate doses and continues to invade your soul until you are completely old and decrepit, like my parents. Just kidding mom! You are totally young and hip!! I think maybe I just need a vacation, you know, somewhere warm and relaxing with lots of single, successful, cute men all around me! Yes, I think that sounds like a good cure to me! If anyone knows where this place exits, please feel free to comment and let me in on the secret.
So, I'm starting to think that maybe I made the leap into the adult working world a little too quickly. I mean was school that bad? Maybe I should have prolonged for a couple of more semesters the inevitable reality of the world. See out here in the world no one really cares about you. I know that sounds so harsh, but it is so sadly true! The world revolves and you are just a minuet click in the wheel. How comforting to know that The Creator of this ugly world not only knows me by name but he also knows how many hairs are on my head! And not only that, but he also has a plan for me. Somehow I have a plan amidst all the chaos swirling around outside of my bubble! Praise the Lord! And also, there are some really good parts about being an adult, like living in my own house (sorry mom) and doing what I want when I want to do it (for the most part).
On a lighter note, I finally figured out what my rapper name will be! It's been a long time coming, but I knew I would think of it and here it is:
'Lil BuddyThere is a story that goes along with my rapper name, but that might be a good topic for another blog. I'll just have to keep you in suspense until I write the story, or until you call and ask me the story.
Well, here I am! I can now officially say that I am a "blogger"! Who knew I was such a techie?!?! Not me (or my mother who would harass me endlessly on the necessity of technology in my future). Oh well! I don't know what I will write about, maybe I'll write about my daily humdrum which can at times be anything from normal! Or maybe I'll write about all the wild parties/clubs that I go to and how I get totally smashed every weekend! OR I could write about my immense love of mini coopers, cats and the song " I can only imagine". You just never know what you're going to get with my blog-or with me for that matter, this is how I will keep everyone hooked! Until next time...
