Annotated lists of books, articles, videotapes,audio tapes, recordings, and related items are provided. There are five satellite sites: two forimages,one for WBIX, the virtual radio station devoted to Bix, one for JimGrover'sBix Radio Program, and one for the Bix discography. In addition, there is a forum where topicsrelatedto Bix are discussed. Links to these sites are provided on theleft-handside column. I hope that this site will become the mostcomprehensiveprimary reference work of available resources about Bix. I will needhelp of my fellow Bixophiles to add to and correct the information thatI provide. The highlights ofthe year forBixophiles are the Bix Beiderbecke MemorialJazzFestival whichtakes place during July in Davenport, Iowa, and the Tributeto Bix Beiderbecke whichtakes place in Racine, Wisconsin on the weekend nearest March 10(Bix'sbirthday). Jazz bands, visitors and Bixophiles from all over the worldgather to celebrate Bix'smusical genius. Perhaps, to a true Bix admirer, the most significantpoignant event of the Festival is the Saturday morning visit to Bix'sgravesite in Oakdale Cemetery. Musicians and fans gather to honor Bix'smemoryand play the music he made famous. "Through hismusic, Bix isalive."
