We encourage you to find opportunities to try new things and get involved where possible, because ultimately — we are all coping with navigating this new reality, but we can get through this together (even if we're physically distant). These individuals were recognized for their ability to take action in pursuit of long-term positive social change, inspire and engage others, demonstrate efforts to sustain their work through developing strategies for institutional and community commitment, and exhibit motivation and potential for effective long-term civic engagement. We are so grateful for all of the positive changes they have helped to create, and we are excited to see how they will become civically engaged in the future! We want to recognize these Scholars for their contributions to the community. The following 6 Scholarshave spent at least 100 hours over the last year working with Faculty Mentors and Community Partners to address a community-identified need. These individuals truly are world-changers! With the transition to online learning and social distancing, we are celebrating the Bennion Scholars who completed their Capstones a bit differently this year. And you will not always be able to solve all the world’s problems all at once. But don’t ever underestimate the impact you can have, because history has shown us that courage can be contagious, and hope can take on a life of its own.” ​Looking forward, we hope that students at the U can become engaged with their communities in order to make an impact and inspire positive change. She is the coordinator for our Communications Team. The Comm Team works on marketing and communications for the BC, including graphic design, photography video, social media, editorial, and recruitment outreach. Molly is also a Bennion Scholar—and the graduating scholars are all presenting on their projects this week, so drop by to learn about the amazing projects they’ve done over the last year!
