ArchivesDirect

The LYRASIS and Artefactual hosted ArchivesDirect service will no longer be offered under one contract effective June 1, 2020.

Instead LYRASIS and Artefactual will offer the hosted Archivematica and hosted DuraCloud services under separate agreements. LYRASIS and Artefactual will continue to offer the same high quality, integrated services - DuraCloud and Archivematica - with no change.

Separating "ArchivesDirect" into two service agreements, gives clients increased understanding of the terms for each service. Client institutions will have greater control and flexibility in selecting services that fit their needs. For example clients may want to use hosted Archivematica, but not DuraCloud or vice versa.

What does this change mean for ArchivesDirect service customers?Instead of one invoice and one agreement, there will now be two agreements and two invoices: one with LYRASIS for DuraCloud hosted services, and one with Artefactual for Archivematica hosted services.
