Through the Traditional Ceremonies, Teachings, and Guidance of our Elders, we understand it is time to make a difference. In order to systemically address issues of suicide, substance abuse, health disparities, and domestic violence, we must first address basic physiological needs for water, food, and safety. When people are fighting merely to survive there is not time for them to think of ways in which to thrive.Poverty and despair have been ongoing issues for decades and are presently at or below third-world conditions. Most homes lack running water and working sewage. Propane is the only source of heat, and most Elders have no means to obtain it. The immediate goal of Goodthinking 4 All Our Relations is to provide “warmth”: propane, food, blankets, clothing, coats, socks, underwear, diapers, baby products and hygiene products to North American Native Indians of all Nations who are in need of basic survival necessities. This is emergency response. There are Elders and children in dire need of assistance now.Goodthinking 4 All Our Relations staff is comprised solely of volunteers with all donations going directly to the Elders and children in need. The calls we receive are for emergency aid, including but not limited to: warmth, food assistance, utility assistance, diapers or infant-care products from respective ICW and WIC programs, suicide intervention and healing, and domestic-violence intervention. We view all of “Indian Country” as one community and are working to fill in the gaps in services that other agencies and organizations are unable to provide due to restrictions from funding agencies, lack of funding, time constraints, and geographic location.Donate Today Thank You
