RECESS SHOULDN'T BE LIMITED TO SCHOOL
The Recess Lab is Vashon’s favorite place to hang out – literally!
Our bouldering wall is usually open with classes, open climb, shoe rentals,
and is available for parties.
But we also have a slack line, mini trampoline, hippity
hoppities, hula hoops and even a few jump ropes.
All the things you need for recess!
Looking for work out classes that include spin bikes, ViPRs, free weights, TRXs, and more? Check out theStraight on Strengthwebsite.
Our Middle Schoolers' Nights presented from VARSA is done for the year BUT will hopefully return this fall! These evenings are free to any middle schooler and include
climbing, foos ball, pingpong, snacks and fun for all.
Thank you VARSA!
The gym is open to climbers of all skill level and all ages. We can help you with the basics to get you off the ground, and climbing is a great work out. Our wall will have you happily exhausted in no time.
Our bouldering wall is as easy or hard as you make it for all ages! Routes are color coded so you can choose easy, medium, or hard – or just make up your own to fit your creative and athletic energy!

"My 5 year old loves the Recess Lab. I was worried that it would be too challenging for him, but the staff at the Recess Lab are so helpful and knowledgeable that they were able to get my son climbing correctly immediately. Now he scampers to the top and to the side before I have sat down.
I also appreciate that they understand a 5 year old’s attention span is short so they allow him to run around a bit, climb a bit, and run around some more."
