It’s around this flag of sustainability that the latest generation of Carters is rallying, led by Wes, 43, who is president. An avid surfer, he starred in a company-produced video last spring announcing the launch of the “New Earth Project.” It aims to explain the impact that mostly plastic waste is having on the world’s oceans.
Our Story
In January 2021, the group that would kick off A New Earth Project gathered in Oahu, Hawaii to discuss their mission and to articulate their concerns for the health of our oceans as a result of ocean plastics. They also laid the groundwork for a plan that will create the change needed to save our oceans.
