About Fraser Valley Trail Races

Our Story

Fraser Valley Trail Races was born out of a passion for the Fraser Valley and trail running in general by its founding partners. What started with an idea in 2018 to create professionally managed and fun races for those that live in or visit the Fraser Valley region, FVTR launched with two races in 2019 at Bear Mountain and Manning Park.

This is a beautiful and expansive region of BC that we are excited to share with you, complete with mountains, rivers, lakes, and of course, TRAILS! Perhaps you've run some of the province's great trails including those in Squamish, Whistler or North Vancouver, and always wondered "what's in the other direction"? Well, you will love experiencing the Fraser Valley and our professionally managed races. Our philosophy is based on'not far from Vancouver, but a world away'. We live and breathe that motto, and are happy to create an environment for you to enjoy these amazing trails.

FVTR is led by our passionate Race Directors, Jenny and Katrina. Many of you may have run with them on an adventure, behind them in a clinic, or against them in a race. If you were lucky enough to feel their passion for the trails and the trail running community, you'll understand why this new trail race series was born, and why they are excited to bring these races to you.

Volunteers

Volunteers are the heartbeat of all successful trail races, and we will treat our volunteers well with food, swag, and lots of memories to make your time well worth it! Tasha Mijinke is our Volunteer Manager, and Tasha and her family participated in the Inaugural year of FVTR and challenged friends and family members to step out of their comfort zones and register too. “The atmosphere was energizing!”, and something that she is proud to now be a part of. All volunteer shifts of 6 hours or more will earn free entry to a future FVTR or FVBR race of your choice! Volunteer registration will open up soon, so keep an eye out for the link to register!

Become an Exhibitor

Is your company interested in being part of our event? Join us as an exhibitor!

With hundreds of runners, friends, family, and spectators attending every race, what an incredible opportunity to showcase your brand and be part of something truly wonderful. Every race will have space for exhibitors to set up their tent in a festival staging area that will be brimming with people throughout the duration of the event. Exhibitors will be able to set up on-site, add items or materials to the runner swag bags, have their logo displayed on our expo page on our website, and take part in an amazing day of all things running. You should be there!
