Zen-Shin Martial Arts Association in Birmingham is a professional family run martial arts academy, established in 1980. It supports physical, emotional and social development. Our mission is to make our students more successful in life through practice of their martial arts and to always influence them in a positive manner. To accomplish this, we must instill Black Belt Excellence to set goals for self improvement and to develop the non-quitting spirit that is necessary to overcome obstacles and become successful. Here at Zen-Shin we practice traditional Shotokan Karate which originated from Japan, we also have kickboxing classes for kids, adults and ladies only classes.
